APPROACHES TO DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANCY LTD. (APPTODEV) is a consultancy firm registered both in Canada and Kenya. It was founded by a group of expertise originally from East Africa who studied and worked both in the West and in Africa.

    a. Level-0 Upgrading new immigrant students (intake capacity is very limited) 

    b. Level-1 Grade-5 to Grade-8

    b. Level-2 Grade-9 to Grade-12

3. EAL for adults with Somali translation program

4. Somali literacy for adults ( 3 months program)

5. Intensive English Course (6-18 months program)

6. Citizenship test preparation (1-3 months program)

7. Resume making, job search and marketing oneself

8. Registering on the workers unions

9. Private sponsorship forms  

 

B. Partnership Programs:

APPTODEV is looking for partners who are interested in knowing why some kids are at risk in terms of dropping out of school and ending up nowhere and hence we are ready to launch the information and experience we collected so far. Focus area includes:  

1. Why some kids are at risk more than others

2.  Finding possible remedies and preventions from kids being dropping out

3. Family separation and the increase in welfare recipients in black immigrant communities in Manitoba.
