1. PROJECT DURATION

(A)   How long does a project take to finish?
Projects that APPTODEV carry on are very different in nature  and scope. The project could be a training, or counselling, monitoring, evaluation, organisational capacity assessment, strategic plan, and so on. The time the project takes depends on the need of the client. Therefore, it is not only APPTODEV to decide how long each project could take.

(B)   Can the planned time for completion be extended?
Yes, but with the consent of the owner and the client.

(C)   Who decides the project period?
Both APPTODEV and the client agree on the timing and duration of the project.


2. COSTS

(A)   How much does your service costs?
The costing could be evaluated by the hours of work it demands or by days. There is no lump sum of cost estimates. With the exception of common trainings, costing is negotiable. Just the rough estimate for our costing is: $50-$75 an hour or $250-$600 a day. This costing could include all other expenditures to be incurred. But, APPTODEV promises to be competitive with other consultancy firms.

 
3. AGREEMENT

(A)   Is there any form to fill for signing an agreement?
Yes, there are ready made forms to sign, but special terms of reference should be drafted as a part and parcel of the agreement.


4. FIELD WORK

(A)   Who does the field work for APPTODEV?
Specially trained local and international consultants do all the field work. The client organisations could also assign one or more people to work with the consultant. If the client organisation wants to be empowered through the type of work that APPTODEV is doing at field level, then, there is special agreement forms to fill.  


5. EMPLOYMENT

(A)   How does APPTODEV employ permanent staff for itself?
APPTODEV announce vacancies on its website and on the other relevant website, and hire employees according to its human resource development policy. Interested consultants could also submit resumes to the office.

(B)   How does APPTODEV support other organisations to hire employees?
One of the programs that APPTODEV runs is linking employees with employers. APPTODEV is planning to develop a kind of job search kiosk where this link could be easy. But, when it comes to complete hiring, orientation, and in-service training that the new employee needs, it is up to the  client organisation to sign an agreement with APPTODEV as how this could be done.


6. CONSULTANTS

(A)   How does APPTODEV maintain qualified consultants?
APPTODEV mostly hires both new consultants and qualified consultants. The work of consultancy is most of the time part time and on-call but in good work environment, and competitive salary. If there are projects we are contracted in a long term, such as monitoring of an on-going activity, therefore, APPTODEV can hire permanent consultant during the life cycle of that project. Our consultants have many opportunities, including, medical insurances, fringe benefit, hardship allowances, transportation allowance, housing allowance, etc. This makes APPTODEV very unique to deal with its on-call and temporary staff similar with its permanent staff.
