APPTODEV is seeking suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position:

Local Somali Consultant                   three positions

The consultants  work under the direct supervision of a Lead Consultant

General responsibilities:

·           Prepare training manuals on good governance and management practices both in English and Somali.

·           Conduct preliminary assessment on the status of all the Somali districts in terms of governance

·           Develop tools  to train more systematic data collection to be carried out by enumerators

·           Train enumerators on data collection

·           Collect data and analyse data

·           Make interpretation of the analysed data

·           Formulate project proposals for good intervention

·           Train senior government officers on good governance and institution building.

·           Carrying out other duties as directed by the Lead Consultant

Qualifications and personal characteristics:

·         Higher University Degree in management or related field;

·         excellent oral and written communication skills of English, and Somali languages;

·         have an analytic skill and knowledge of basic statistics and data collection methods;

·         a high level of personal integrity and ethics;

·         4 to 6 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience;

·         proven computer skills; highly motivated;
